Ingredients

  • Sauce : -
  • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 50g Soft Brown Sugar
  • 200ml Hot Water (Not boiling)
  • Pudding : -
  • 80g Butter (Soft)
  • 80g Soft Light Brown Sugar
  • 65g Self-Raising Flour (Sieved)
  • 3 Teaspoons Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 3 Medium Eggs

Method

Step 1
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
Step 2
for the sauce, put the cocoa & sugar in a small bowl, make a smooth paste using a little hot water. Gradually mix in the rest of the hot water.
Step 3
Grease a 1 litre/ oven-proof stand the dish on a baking tray.
Step 4
Put the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat with a whisk until smooth.
Scrape the pudding mixture into the dish and pour the sauce over the top.
Step 5
Place the dish (still on the baking tray) on the middle shelf of the oven.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the pudding is well risen and set in the middle.
