Ingredients

  • 500g Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons Melted cocoa butter (olive oil)
  • Splash cocoa/balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 25g cocoa powder
  • sea salt and white pepper to taste

Method

Preheat oven 400 F (200 C).

Toss Brussels sprouts in Cocoa butter (oil), balsamic vinegar,  chilli powder, salt, and pepper.

Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Roast in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and browned.

Remove from oven and sprinkle with cocoa powder.

Serve immediately.

Tips:

If you don't have cocoa vinegar you can use balsamic vinegar, red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar.

You can also add other herbs and spices to the Brussels sprouts, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or dried thyme.

Serve these roasted Brussels sprouts with your favourite main dish, like roasted chicken, grilled fish, or tofu.
